Dr. Barbara Maxwell to Deliver Keynote at National Academies of Practice Annual Meeting and Forum

Barbara Maxwell, PhD, PT, Executive Director and Associate Dean of the Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center (IU IPE), will deliver the keynote address at the 2026 Annual Meeting and Forum of the National Academies of Practice (NAP), to be held March 12–14, 2026, at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. 

Since Dr. Maxwell’s arrival in 2021, IU IPE has strengthened its mission to improve the lives of people and populations through collaboration. During her tenure, IU IPE has debuted the innovative, competency-based Interprofessional Core Curriculum and expanded its reach through the Collaborative Topics series, positioning IU IPE as a prominent voice in curriculum development and thought leadership in and beyond traditional IPE settings. 

Dr. Maxwell’s keynote will take place on Friday, March 13, during the NAP Annual Meeting and Forum at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Additional IU IPE-led activities and sessions will take place during the 2026 NAP Forum, further highlighting Indiana University’s engagement with national partners and organizations committed to advancing collaborative practice. More information about those efforts will be shared in the weeks ahead. 

The NAP Annual Meeting and Forum brings together national leaders across health and social care disciplines to advance collaborative approaches that improve outcomes for individuals and communities. Dr. Maxwell’s keynote underscores IU IPE’s growing visibility and leadership in interprofessional practice and education on a national stage.
