IU IPE is offering two engaging online workshops this Spring 2026 and invites students to participate. These sessions are designed to support learning around health, systems, and advocacy through applied, real-world perspectives.
Understanding Diabetes
Wednesday, February 4 | 6:00–7:30 PM (Online)
Led by Faria Chaudhry, PharmD, Assistant Clinical Professor, Purdue College of Pharmacy.
This session explores the lived experience of diabetes, reframes it as a complex, whole-body, and technology-driven condition, and examines care coordination, mental health impacts, and common misconceptions.

Policy Practice: Effective Engagement and Advocacy
Wednesday, February 18 | 6:00–7:30 PM (Online)
Led by Teri Kennedy, Vice President of Public Policy, National Academy of Practice.
Students will learn how policy is made, explore nonpartisan advocacy strategies, and practice crafting effective messages to engage policymakers.
