EDIT 10/27/2020: IPE 10×10 is now available right HERE on our website

The Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center (IU IPE) is proud to launch the podcast series IPE 10×10. IU IPE’s goal is to take the big, somewhat vague, subjects of interprofessional practice (IPP) and education (IPE) and distill them down into digestible pieces. Those new to the concepts of IPE and IPP, and those who are already familiar with them, should come away from these episodes with a deeper understanding of how IPP and IPE work and why they’re necessary for the healthcare field.

Each episode consists of interviews with individuals from all over health professional fields. One week there may be a pharmacist, and the next week a social worker. IU IPE’s hope is that listeners come away from each episode with the understanding that interprofessional collaboration isn’t just working with others who practice in the same field, but working with everyone a patient needs to see and acting as a team for the betterment of the patient and providers.

The name IPE 10×10 refers to the fact each season consists of 10 episodes which run around 10 minutes each. The podcast was created to be quick and accessible. Season 1 is looking at all aspects of interprofessional collaboration. The first episode features IU School of Nursing – Bloomington’s very own Dr. Deanna Reising and Dr. Jeanne Johnston from the Center for Rural Engagement.  Other episodes feature guests from the Purdue University College of Pharmacy, the Indiana Addictions Issues Coalition, and more.

IPE 10×10 is available through all major podcast distributors and directly through Anchor.fm. It’s hosted by David Plough and produced by Alex Buchannan. Every week, clips that were edited for time will be added to IU IPE’s social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
