Faculty Development

Conference Room

The IU IPE Center’s faculty development programs offer professional development activities designed to support faculty from across the university to develop and enhance their skills in interprofessional facilitation, and in the design, delivery, and evaluation of IPE and collaborative practice activities and programs. We teach interprofessional education and collaborative practice in a practical, patient-centered manner while promoting organizational change and leadership supporting these ideals.

Much of our programming requires trained facilitators to foster conversation, provide guidance, and evaluate progress. In addition, these facilitators must be well versed in interprofessional practice and education approaches and techniques, which they may not be familiar with in their program-specific environments. Therefore, IU IPE offers developmental sessions in various topics focused on interprofessional collaboration. Faculty who participate with the TEACH curriculum are trained in effective facilitation techniques to foster collaborative competencies in the student participants.
