The IU IPE Center’s faculty development programs offer professional development activities designed to prepare and assist faculty in all relevant learning environments. We teach interprofessional education and collaborative practice in a practical, patient-centered manner while promoting organizational change and leadership in support of these ideals.
Much of our programming requires trained facilitators to foster conversation, provide guidance, and evaluate progress. In addition, these facilitators must be well versed in interprofessional practice and education techniques which they may not be familiar with in traditional classroom learning. Therefore, IU IPE offers developmental sessions in interprofessional collaboration skills and trains faculty in our TEACH! curriculum to instruct facilitators about their roles within the curriculum.
