At the Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center (IU IPE), our vision is clear: Creating Collaborative Cultures that improve care, strengthen communities, and shape the future of health and social systems.
We do this by designing intentional, evidence-based curriculum and experiences that prepare learners to lead with collaboration. Our programs embed team-based learning into academic curricula, community partnerships, and clinical settings, ensuring students experience collaboration in action.
We don’t just deliver interprofessional learning—we help define it.
IU IPE is recognized as a thought leader in the field. Our faculty are published academics who contribute to national and international scholarship. Our work is regularly presented in front of international audiences. Our director is a contributing author to the World Health Organization’s Winterthur-Doha Declaration, helping shape interprofessional education policy on a global scale.
Through curriculum innovation, faculty development, community engagement, and research, we are building the collaborative cultures that healthcare and social care systems urgently need. We work closely with partners across disciplines and settings to ensure our work is responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
