Breaking the Cycle of Addiction: A Collaborative Recovery Experience

Substance use disorder (SUD) ripples through families, schools, workplaces, and entire communities. At IU IPE, we believe in confronting this crisis not with judgment, but with understanding, empathy, and interprofessional collaboration.

The Cycle of Addiction Experience (COA) invites participants to step into the lives of those impacted by addiction. Through immersive storytelling and guided reflection, learners explore the far-reaching effects of SUD while gaining tools and insights to better serve patients, clients, and communities.

Led by experienced facilitators, a panel of local professionals, and individuals with lived experience, COA breaks down silos and fosters authentic, cross-sector dialogue. This 2–3 hour experience challenges assumptions, builds empathy, and connects participants to real-world, local resources.
