The Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center works with faculty, staff, students, community partners, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate high-quality interprofessional programming focused on collaborative practice and teamwork to improve the lives of patients and populations.

Utilizing John Biggs' concept of constructive alignment, our Interprofessional Core Curriculum (IP Core) is designed with the end in mind. This means focusing on what students need to be able to accomplish once they've completed their studies and working backward. The IP  Core is a competency-based curriculum delivered using a hybrid longitudinal model. IP Core starts when the students begin their studies and is interwoven with their study-specific curriculum.

Along with IP Core, IU IPE offers a rich array of extra programming under the Collaborative Topics banner. These experiences expose students to individuals already working in the field, as well as students from non-traditional partners like education and criminal justice, which are a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
