1. IPE Certificate Series Returns to Bloomington

On Feb 23rd, 30 students from education, social work, public health, criminal justice, and nursing attended the 3rd IPE Certificate Series session of the 21/22 academic year. The Trauma-Informed Care Workshop, led by John M. Keesler of the IU School of Social Work and Alex Purcell of the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, gave attendees an understanding of the underlying principles of trauma-informed care through engaging in small group activities to demonstrate their application in diverse settings.

The IPE Certificate Series wrapped up with the Improving Social Justice Self Identity workshop on 3/1. 

2. Dr. Laura Romito holds faculty development sessions

Interim Associate Dean, Education and Academic Affairs of the IU School of Dentistry, and IU IPE Assistant Dean of Faculty Development and Engagement, Dr. Laura Romito, held the first TEACH Exposure training session on February 17th. Campus-specific and university-wide faculty development sessions are scheduled throughout March and April. You can find those dates and register on our events page. 

3. Dr. Barbara Maxwell presents to Project ECHO

On February 4th, the Integrated Pain Management Project ECHO invited IU IPE Director Dr. Barbara Maxwell to deliver her “Interprofessional Collaboration.” presentation.
